Prosthodontics, which includes denture-making, tooth restoration and tooth recontouring, is a practice in dentistry that aims to restore patients’ teeth to their normal functions and natural look as much as possible. Recognizing the significance of prosthodontics to the successful restoration of patients’ dental health, Dental Design Clinic and Lab has set up a dental lab within its premises.

The in-house ‘prosthodontic’ dental Laboratory of the Dental Design Clinic and Lab combines high tech equipments with experienced dental technicians, to fabricate all of our crowns/bridges, dentures, implant supported restorations, porcelain veneers, ceramic inlays / onlays, night guards, and bleaching trays. We have our own porcelain oven and denture processing units so nothing has to be sent out thus delaying your treatment.

Our team of dental technicians has years of experiences working with us. With time, the lab has been developed through the advancement in dental lab equipments, new dental technologies, and regular training of our staffs.

We offer our clients the very best and innovative of prosthodontic and esthetics works. We have the new all ceramic, metal free crown and bridge systems called ‘Empress Esthetics and IPS E-max: Press.’ These systems are recognized world wide as the most esthetic looking porcelain product on the market. With Empress Esthetics and IPS E-max: Press, we provide our patients everything from conservative bonded porcelain veneers to crowns and anterior bridges. With these new innovations in dental lab technologies, we can create an all ceramic bridge that needs no metal for reinforcement at all.

Moreover in-house dental lab will allow better communication and closer collaboration between dentists and dental-lab technicians, resulting in faster completion of work than that done in “mass manufactured” or commercial dental labs. This also means work of high quality as well as a completely natural appearance that will meet patients’ expectations.

The ultimate goal of the in-house dental lab at Dental Design Clinic & Lab is to provide our patients with work of exceptional quality in the following three areas:

1.   Precision
As with dentists, all technicians in our lab are required to wear magnifying loupes while working to ensure that the size and shape of finished work perfectly fit for each individual case. Not only does precision help dentists to work faster and more efficiently, but it also increases patients’ confidence and reduces their chair time or the number of their clinical visits.

2.   Contour and Color
Color and shape need particular attention in all prosthodontic work, especially that which is done for aesthetic purposes. Our lab requires that the color of each product be checked against that of the patient’s natural teeth. To achieve a natural-looking effect that meets the patient’s expectations and satisfaction, a digital image of the patient’s teeth is taken and used while the work is being crafted. In some cases, samples of different contours and colors are tried with patients during their clinical visits.

3.   Function
With our in-house lab, any problems related to the contour, color, and function of the prosthodontic work are removed quickly. A dentist can send for a lab technician to discuss a problem next to the patient’s chair and note the patient’s request. Adjustment of the product can be done promptly with such direct information and feedback, reducing the patient’s clinical visits.
